No, they are not interchangeable. The 2004 mustang is a completely different body style than the 2005, and therefore are not interchangeable.
is a dual exhaust a good investment for better gas mileage?
I want to purchase a true dual-exhaust for my truck (8 cyl. Mitsubishi Raider) I want to leave the stock manifold and catalytic converters, and just cut the y-pipe and run 2 3/4 in. pipes out the back through 2 flowmaster 40 series mufflers. Any input?

anytime your engine can breathe better the easier it is on the engine, you will get a little better mileage if you can keep your foot out of those flowmaster mufflers. If you want better gas mileage add 2 oz. of acetone to every 10 gal. of gas.

Which dual exhaust system is better for my 1998 ford mustang v6?
I have a 1998 ford mustang 3.8L and I was wondering which dual exhaust system to buy. I've looked at several brands but I haven't bought it yet. I'm looking for a better sound and better horsepower.
Magnaflow is good . There will be more sound but horsepower on any exhaust is minimal.

If you remove the catalytic converter to install dual exhaust do you have to change the computer chip?
I own a 1995 GMC pickup that does not require emission testing. It has 110,000 miles and the exhaust is rusting away. It has a single exhaust system and I would like dual exhaust. I keep hearing about this co-chip but nobody here knows much about it.
The only computer problem you may run into is if you remove the exhaust pipe all the way to the manifold and do away with the O2 sensor. I have heard of this chip that makes the computer think there is an O2 sensor in place when they are removed. If the shop does take the orginal exhaust out they can get an aftermarket bung and weld it into the pipe allowing the O2 sensor to be reinstalled. Sometimes on computer controlled vehicles if you get the exhaust too free flowing you can create an overscavenging condition in the engine which may affect your EGR system. I removed the cat on an 89 K10 without any ill effect 
What will it cost to change my exhaust from single tip to dual exhaust on a 1999 Grand Am SE with a V6?
hey, i'd like to make it dual exhaust and put two camaro tips on the end (rectangle exhaust) just wondering if anyone has put dual tips on this car & how much it cost them. cars a 1999 pontiac grand am se (4dr) with the GT engine. thanks for any input.
it would be fairly simple. all you need to do is get a muffler from a GT. then cut off the old tips, and put your new ones on. you could go aftermarket with a flowmaster 40 series, but the GT muffler should bolt right up.
