how much HP or anything does a complete flowmaster exhaust system and eldenbrock air filter and intake add??

Posted in: flowmaster exhaust | | 3 Comments »>

i have a 67 mustang. 289 engine.. i have added a complete flowmaster exhaust system and eldenbrock air filter and intake add to it…or what does it add…please somebody help i need to know and no one knows….thanks
how much does the flowmasters add to the car itself….that is what i want to know the most

If you had single exhaust, about 20hp. Total, you have probably gained about 30 to 35hp.

How much would flowmaster exhaust boost my HP?

Posted in: flowmaster exhaust | | 3 Comments »>

I'm trying to get better HP and I need new exhaust anyways. Any other fine tuning to get better HP?
I own a 1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS

They have done tests in car magazines with cat back exhausts for the rs-gs eclipse. It came out to about a couple of whp. Go here to see what others have gained.

1971 454 Monte Carlo with 3″ Flowmaster Exhaust

Posted in: flowmaster exhaust | | 25 Comments »>

This is my 1971 Monte Carlo. The video clip is for sound comparisons for different exhausts. The engine is about 9:1 compression and has a small hydraulic roller cam (224/234 deg @ 0.050″, .527″/.544″ lift). The intake is an Edelbrock RPM air gap, and the carb is a 750 Mighty Demon mechanical Secondary. The headers are Hooker Competition headers with 2″ primaries and 3.5″ collectors which go into 3″ dual exhaust with 3″ 50-Series Flowmaster mufflers which end right before the rear end.

quick 2 minute run of the exhaust. First rev and hold is at 2k, the second is at 3k. The vapor you see is water, the car was washed immediately before this shot was taken. Check out my car at car domain, http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2591899/1

how will i install my exhaust kit (flowmaster) to stock manifolds?

Posted in: flowmaster exhaust | | 2 Comments »>

my car is a 1971 el camino. i ordered a flowmaster exhaust. pipes are already bent and made for the car. its a true dual exhaust. havent tried to install it but im wondering how i will get the front pipes to connect to the stock manifold. i am not sure how big the opening is on the stock manifold…anyone know? the stock is connected with a flange thing, but the pipe size is like 1 inch or bit bigger. help please…

If the kit is the correct one for your ride it should bolt right on….diameter of the pipe being larger than stock is the whole idea(less exhaust back pressure). It's the alignment of the bolt holes….as long as they line up, your good to go….
